THE LAMP

Argolamp is a high-level lamp suitable for both speleological and speleo-underwater use. It was born from a long and careful search for the best materials and the best technical solutions that make it the most versatile of all.

In the various speleo-diving explorations, Argolamp has highlighted its strong point by accompanying top-level speleo-divers such as Rick Stanton, Richard Herris, Torsten Wealde (Toddystile) in their most difficult explorations, in particular Richard Harris took it to a depth of 230 meters.

Autonomy and levels

3 lighting modes: diffuse, depth and combined beams. 13 light levels to adapt the lamp to every situation.

6000K white light LED, greater yield in terms of power and penetration. On request it is possible to install warm light LEDs, 4500k or 3500k.

Sistem and buttons

Switches like the buttons on GoPro diving suits, a specially designed steel spring system, rigid enough to work even at great depths, tested very well up to 124 meters.

3 O-rings, exceptional watertightness. System much appreciated by speleo divers, even with the use of very thick gloves, the sensitivity remains good.

Goodman sistem

Thanks to a support created directly on the battery pack it is possible to make the Argolamp a compact lamp, a system that can be used by cave divers to mount the lamp on the hand.

Weight and size

Excellent relationship between performance, size and weight. Lamp + battery weigh only 370 grams. Weights well distributed between lamp body and battery pack.

Inclined cable glands

Ergonomic inclination of the cable glands following the shape of the helmet. Avoids bottlenecks and cable breakage. Cable protected by PUR sheath. Guarantee of resistance against any type of stress.

PUR, polyurethane, has mechanical characteristics similar to plastic combined with the elasticity of rubber, but with high resistance to abrasion, tearing, cutting, humidity and dynamic stress.

Superior support

Two threaded holes for accessories. For the moment, a GoPro-type support is available on which you can install an action cam or, thanks to a 3D printer, create any other accessory.

Stainless steel thread

Stainless steel insert nuts.

The threads on aluminum tend to wear out in contact with steel screws and in a marine environment they sometimes oxidize, even if anodized. In this sensitive area we preferred steel insert nuts of the same hardness as the screws. These insert nuts are even replaceable, which is impossible in the case of a thread dug directly into the aluminum body.

Circuit and protection

Electronic circuit of the Task LED, Dual Flex model. Designed for use in caves in collaboration with some speleo divers.
Main features:

· Adapt the light between 13 different combinations.
· Sequence of 3 presses to avoid accidental ignition.
· Overheat protection. Lower the light intensity until a safe temperature is reached.

· Protection against battery over-discharge: lithium batteries have a charge level below which they cannot go at the risk of being permanently damaged.
· Near total discharge, the power gradually weakens until it reaches level 1 and then switches off completely. You can restart the lamp and use it for another minute. This operation can be carried out indefinitely until a suitable place is found for replacing the battery.

Batteries and chargers

2 x 6800mAh lithium-ion batteries included.

3.7 Volt and 2 Amp/h charger.
Charging time +/- 4 hours

We recommend using 21700 Samsung INR21700-50E batteries. With this battery model, the danger of a short circuit that could occur inside the battery pack is avoided if the batteries were mistakenly inserted with reversed polarities. As can be seen, both the correct polarity and a symbol indicating the danger if the batteries are inserted incorrectly.

Helmet attachment system

Supplied with 2 supports: fixed and elastic band.

Possibility to mount the lamp permanently or temporarily.

· 2 GoPro type aluminum supports, one to be used to be mounted on the helmet as a fixed support and 1 that can be mounted directly on the lamp to mount a GoPro on it.
· 3 spare O-ring for the battery pack
· Clamps to secure the battery pack to the helmet.

Any shipments outside the European community will be made without battery and battery charger, shipping outside the EU is often subject to controls and batteries are considered dangerous material by various companies and therefore cannot be shipped and the package risks being blocked. In any case, the batteries can be purchased on any site, as they are loose batteries.
